Fit
Measure once, properly, and every purchase after that gets easier.
Place a sheet of A4 against a wall and stand on it with your heel touching the wall.
Have someone mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe while you stay standing.
Measure from the wall edge of the paper to the mark. Repeat for the other foot.
Match the larger measurement to the chart. It is easier to fill space than to create it.

Foot length is the measurement of your foot, not the shoe. The shoe itself is longer, because a last needs room ahead of the toes.
